Ray White New Zealand and Ray White City Realty each sponsored a race at the 14th Edition of the Partridge Jewellers | Life Education Charity Day, Christmas lunch for Harold 2017 at Ellerslie Racecourse this year. Annually for the past 13 years these races have been held to raise money for the Life Education Charity, who are working towards educating and empowering children to live healthier and as a result, happier lives. For the first time this event was held in December bringing a Holiday spirit to the grounds and allowing people to host their friends and family for a Christmas Lunch at the track, said Lance Hutchison QSM JP, Chairman of Life Education.
Ray White is proud to support the Life Education Charity given the incredible impact it has within all New Zealand communities by establishing a better future for our children. In fact, what better an occasion to host our end of year Christmas Function then one that gives back. Race 6 of the event saw a 1200m race sponsored by Ray White NZ while the final race of 2200m was sponsored by Ray White City Realty.
The day was a roaring success, with spectators having a great day basking in the sunny weather, supporting the charity and enjoying a beautiful summers weekend. Surrounded by an energetic crowd of family, friends, and workmates the atmosphere was one of festivity, excitement, and fun.
As each race started the team gathered and cheered with rest of the crowd, with Volpe Veloce taking out the “Ray White NZ 1200” and Magic Chai the “Ray White City Realty 2200”. Volpe Veloce experienced 7 wins in her first races, but it was this race that brought her back into the limelight after her previous 6th and 11th places over the Spring. Next set to race on New Year’s Day, Volpe is looking to be the new $5 favourite. However, two of the highlights of the day was entering the jokey rooms following the race to celebrate, with Carey Smith New Zealand Chief Executive of Ray White speaking on why as a company we choose to support this event. The second highlight was Jane Meyer, Regional Manager winning Fashion in the Field, receiving a $300 voucher from Frontline Designer Clothes and Accessories.
The whole day was a chance to bring everyone together and support a great cause at the same time, everyone had a great day and hopes to see a similar event next year.
