On Tuesday 9th August, Ronald McDonald House Charities® New Zealand (RMHC®) raised over $100,000 at their annual Supper Club Auckland event. A unique dining experience where RMHC supporters can come together for a fun night out, while raising funds to support New Zealand’s families.
This exclusive dining experience saw over 400 guests attend a cocktail function at the Hilton Auckland followed by a meal at one of the Auckland’s top and most generous restaurants including The French Café, Cocoro and Botswana Butchery. The fundraising event saw guests purchase a table of ten, and on the night it’s a lucky draw to find out which restaurant they will be heading to. A great after party at Bellini Bar followed, where guests shared stories of their unique dining destinations.
In the six years that RMHC has been holding the Auckland Supper Club, it has quickly become one of the social highlights of the year. Demand for tickets is so high that they have consistently sold out every time. In previous years, between Auckland and the seven other Supper Club events across the country, the combined annual amount raised can exceed $500,000. This goes a long way for the 3,700 families that call Ronald McDonald House home, every year.
This event wouldn’t have been made possible without the generous support of all the restaurants who offered their services and the sponsors who provided the gifts and donations to make it a truly wonderful evening. Particularly the Hilton Auckland for providing the venue, along with Gull, the event sponsor and 1 Day who provided many of the lucky dip and auction prizes. These generous donations helped make The Supper Club one of the biggest fundraising events of the year.
Taking care of New Zealand’s families is a collective effort and we simply could not provide our services without the help of great sponsors and the 400 guests who attended the Supper Club that evening.
