Ray White New Zealand are proud to announce their continued support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) National Appeal Day. On Friday, 10 June, a record number of Ray White offices (86) from around New Zealand – from Kaitaia to Invercargill – will be out on the streets collecting to support the initiative.
In 2015, Ray White offices raised $50,000 collecting for RMHC. With 86 offices and hundreds of members collectively involved in 2016, the aim is to make this year the biggest National Appeal Day to date.
RMHC is New Zealand’s premier family charity, providing a home away from home for more than 3,700 Kiwi families from all over New Zealand whose children require specialist medical treatment in another city. During an extremely difficult time, the houses allow families to stay together offering not only accommodation but a supportive environment for the whole family while the child receives care in hospital.
Having a critically ill child in the hospital is hard enough on its own, but being far from home makes it that much harder. RMHC operate on the simple premise that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the well-being of their child – not how they can afford to stay near their child, where the next meal will come from, and where to lay their head to rest at night. The families tell us that being able to be close to the hospital, and having the practicalities of life taken care of at RMHC is priceless.
It costs us approximately $120 a night to house one family, and RMHC can accommodate over 150 Kiwi families across their facilities every night. Funds raised will help RMHC keep Kiwi families together and strong, so they can focus on the most important thing – their child’s recovery.
Since 2007 Ray White New Zealand offices have been involved by partnering with RMHC to help keep families together, and have been active participants in the National Appeal Day since its start in 2013.
Please join Ray White New Zealand in support of RMHC and donate to help keep Kiwi families together.
