On Friday, 23 October, Ray White Whangamata held its third Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House and the region’s St Johns Ambulance service.
The charity golf day sported a field of 80 local golf enthusiasts and their supporters. Participants started the day with a BBQ cooked by the Whangamata team, who were ably assisted by Wayne Howett, Chief Executive Officer of Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand. It was a happy day of good humour, great food and spirited generosity.
Such an occasion takes many hours of organisation and team effort. Steve and Trish Morrison, owners of Ray White Whangamata said, “we are very grateful for our staff who have helped and put so much hard work in which made the event run smoothly”.
Steve and Trish were delighted to present Wayne Howett with a cheque for $10,400. Wayne said, “we couldn’t do it without generous supporters like Ray White Whangamata, whose generosity continues to play an integral part in helping Ronald McDonald House be there for every family who needs us”.
A further $2,460 was presented to the St Johns Ambulance service.
Ray White Whangamata thanks the local community for their good hearted support and look forward to their charity golf tournament in 2016, which is always held on the Friday of Labour Weekend.
