The first quarter of 2018 has been a charitable one for Ray White Te Puna.
The town’s annual Speedshear was held in Te Puna’s Top Shot Bar recently. This year they had a goal to raise $20,000 towards an assistance dog, Milo, for local boy Kyle Balme. Around 35 shearers from throughout New Zealand and overseas dressed in yellow Ray White singlets, gathered to participate in one of the three divisions: open, senior and veterans. The winner of the night sheared one sheep in 15.7 seconds!
Dressed in yellow aprons, John Lamason, Kirsty Walker, Michele Scott, Noel Benstead and Janine Stratton from Ray White Te Puna office promoted the event throughout the community. They all attended on the evening with buckets to collect from the crowd and helped to sell raffle tickets and present prizes.
Janine Stratton from Ray White Te Puna said, ‘’our staff were all very humbled to be a part of this event and help raise money for an assistance dog for Kyle”.
Not only did Ray White Te Puna raise money and awareness, they also sponsored the event to the sum of $4,700 and donated a further $500 towards Kyles Give a Little Page.
It’s fantastic to see Ray White offices throughout the country getting out, getting involved and giving back to the community.
