Well known real estate duo Jane and Carey Simonson have just opened a new Ray White New Plymouth in Taranaki.
Mrs Simonson has been successfully selling in the local area for the past 13 years, with her husband joining her just over two years ago.
Having previously worked in other local agencies, Mr and Mrs Simonson are excited about taking the next step into business ownership with Australasia’s leading real estate brand.
“From the moment we started this journey with Ray White, everyone we’ve spoken to has gone out of their way to support us – not just the NZ corporate team but other leading Ray White businesses,” Mrs Simonson said.
“It’s so reassuring to know that we’re joining a company that has the systems and processes in place to make real estate better for our clients and customers, the agents and the business,” Mr Simonson said.
With strong family ties to the Ray White brand already, Mr and Mrs Simonson are confident that their business will flourish.
“Both our daughter and son-in-law work for Ray White Remuera in Auckland and I’ve watched my daughter’s business grow from strength to strength under the leadership of Megan Jaffe. Seeing an example of how well the technology and support work, it’s very encouraging,” Mrs Simonson said.
Labelled one of New Zealand’s best-kept secrets, New Plymouth has become a tourist hotspot after the Taranaki region was named the world’s number two best place to visit by Lonely Planet in 2017. And with a thriving dairy farming industry, a large focus on oil and gas and a world-class arts scene, it really is a hidden gem.
“New Plymouth really has become a sought after destination. It’s probably one of the only places in the world where you can surf and ski all in the same day,” Mrs Simonson said.
Ray White New Zealand CEO Carey Smith is thrilled to be welcoming Jane and Carey Simonson into the Ray White NZ group.
“Our group continues to expand across New Zealand and to have Jane and Carey on board will only further strengthen our regional business. They have an outstanding track record in the region and we believe partnering with Carey and Jane is a wonderful opportunity,” Mr Smith said.
Currently specialising in residential and lifestyle property, the duo has the intention of becoming a full-service real estate business.
“Over the next 12 months we’re definitely looking to grow the sales business, recruit some amazing talent and eventually launch into the property management space,” Mr Simonson said.
“We’re really excited to be able to offer our community a locally owned and family operated business, backed by the strength of Ray White,” Mrs Simonson said.
