Ray White New Zealand COO hammers home $15M in one night

Ray White New Zealand COO Daniel Coulson celebrated an outstanding night with the gavel yesterday as the auctioneer sold seven properties under the hammer for over $15,000,000.

“The market remains red-hot and it’s hard to predict pricing because of the strong competition for properties that we’re seeing across all price points,” Mr Coulson said.

“Owners would be forgiven for thinking they don’t need to market their home in the current environment. But what these results show is that a targeted marketing approach, coupled with the transparency of auction, is producing very strong prices.

“These sales results for this week’s auctions show that competition is transcending all price bands. Whether it’s first home buyers, investors, or those looking to upgrade – we’re seeing strong activity right across the board.”

It was a particularly good night for Ray White Damerell Group’s Nic Blackie as she sold her first two properties under the hammer with the group – 2 Millais Street in Grey Lynn for $2,317,000 – and 82A Sackville Street, also in Grey Lynn, for $1,550,000.

“These were my first two auction campaigns with Ray White and it really was a massive team effort to achieve such outstanding results for our vendors on the night,” Ms Blackie said.

“There is a core group of buyers determined to secure a home prior to Christmas to avoid continuing their property journey into the new year. There’s general confidence in the market and people are wanting to make a decision now.

“Millais Street attracted 65 groups through the open homes and had four of the five registered buyers compete. Sackville had 50 groups through and also had five registered buyers.”
