RWSP joint director Greg Bell says the expression of interest campaign represents arguably the most unique marine investment opportunity in Queensland.

“This is an exclusive, one time only release,” Mr Bell said.

Mr Bell said the long-term seabed lease held by the vendors means Marina Mirage is one of very few marina’s in Australia that can offer lengthy 50 year leasehold agreements.

“The fact buyers now have the long-awaited chance to purchase berthing at Marina Mirage presents what will likely be a first and last opportunity,” said Mr Bell.

“Never before has there been an option for boating enthusiast to make a leasehold purchase within what is the most sought after and central marina facility on the Gold Coast.

“There has always been a very strong level of leasing demand for berths at Marina Mirage as it is well-regarded as one of the most exclusive super yacht facilities in Australia, so we would expect this consistent interest to translate into leasehold purchases.

“A lot of boat owners and investors have been waiting a long time for this opportunity, but what is on offer is only very limited and won’t last long.”

Marina Oceanus at Marina Mirage berthing facility is capable of handling super yachts up to 60 metres and features a vibrant, upmarket waterfront promenade of restaurants, cafés and retailers, which adjoin the iconic Palazzo Versace hotel.

The marina offers a range of facilities including fresh water and three-phase power at berths, refuelling services including LPG and premium services such as wireless high speed internet, 24 hour security, bathroom amenities and secure undercover parking.

Marina Oceanus Pty Ltd’s plans to redevelop the marina, to be partly funded by the release of the marina berths, follow an extensive $50 million refurbishment of Marina Mirage sparking a total transformation of the renowned water-bound precinct.

It also offers provides ready deep water access via the Gold Coast Seaway and is a short walk to the beach, luxury accommodation and the boutique outlets and dining that abounds with Marina Mirage and surrounds.

“Marina Mirage is fast becoming a destination with itself – the significant commercial enhancements, the recent sale of the Sheraton Mirage and the proposed redevelopment of the marina have all put the precinct on the map,” said Mr Bell.
