Ray White Manukau have been back in the kitchens at Ronald McDonald House in Auckland.
12 members of the team took time out recently to take part in the initiative to visit the house and cook dinner for the families staying there. Four Ronald McDonald House locations around the country provide accommodation and support – including dinner – to families of children receiving care in Hospital.
The house aims to offer these families a home away from home while their child receives care, so they can focus on what is important, getting their child healthy again. With four houses across the country in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, they look after thousands of families every year.
The team from Manukau put a huge effort in cooking vegetarian lasagna, cottage pie, chicken chasseur and steamed rice, and a garden salad along with warm Apple pie and ice cream for dessert.
One of the families took the time to send a note to the office the following day, “Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to cook our tea at Ronald McDonald house last night. It meant one less thing to worry about and was very much appreciated – thank you.”
