Ray White Kohimarama and St Heliers (‘The Best in the Bays’) were proud to be the first gold sponsor of the annual Selwyn College PTA Quiz Night held on Saturday, 18 June at the College.
Selwyn College is a middle sized co-educational and multicultural secondary school in the Eastern Suburbs of Auckland with excellent academic standards and in recent years has built a welcoming, vibrant, respectful and purposeful learning community, to which the students feel strongly connected.
The Quiz Night that had an Olympics theme, it was a great success with over 150 parents attending. The night was heavily promoted and Ray White Kohimarama and St Heliers, with a spectacular presence on the large digital screens at the entrance to the College which is on Kohimarama Road and which carries a high density of traffic throughout the day and particularly at peak time.
The event was a great success, Tim Obern, one of Ray White’s leading auctioneers conducted a number of very successful auctions raising valuable funds for the college.
John Halstead, a Director of the Best in the Bays represented the company and thanked the college PTA for the opportunity to be a gold sponsor and congratulated the Selwyn College principal, Sheryl Ofner on the wonderful job she has done for the school and local community.
A number of Ray White team members attended the evening including Elite Salesperson Pauline Brown who is past pupil of the college.
Peter Best, also a Director of Best in the Bays celebrates 25 years of ownership of the office in August, and whilst he was unable to attend the evening, says, ‘sponsorship of local organisations has been really important to the business over the years. The group currently sponsors not only Selwyn College but also two local primary / intermediate schools’.
