January results remain positive for the Ray White New Zealand Group, with an increase of 29% on the same period last year. However this was down on the December record the Group achieved to complete the 2014 year.
January is traditionally a quiet month. This year saw sales increase to just on 815 with an average sale price of $542,312. The number of controlled listings was similar to the same period last year which has meant there is a consistent number of properties on the market with the expectation there will be more new listings available during the month of February.
Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White New Zealand, said “The January results for our group were outstanding. This is the first year the company has produced sales in excess of 800 for the month. In what is considered a quiet month, many of our offices remained open and continued to trade in a responsive market.”
Many of the Ray White offices had record results for the month of January. The top three business were Ray White City Apartments who achieved over 60 sales, Ray White Te Awamutu who completed $22.5 million, and Ray White Wanaka who again produced an outstanding sales month.
Individually our leading businesses across New Zealand were headlined by Ray White City Apartments in Auckland. In the Northland region Ray White Whangarei continued to produce strong results. Ray White Te Awamutu and Ray White Paraparaumu were the leading offices in the Central and Lower North Island. Ray White Richmond had another strong month, while Ray White Metro and Ray White Rolleston were the leading offices in Canterbury. Ray White Wanaka in the Lower South Island was a stand-out for their sales.
The Ray White Group during January and throughout summer continue to run the Summer Sales Campaign which has given clients the opportunity to have their properties marketed with special campaigns that are being supported by individual offices of Ray White. Many owners have taken advantage of the Summer Sales Campaign, which remains open over the next period and again will see further opportunities for owners in the month of March.
The Ray White Group welcomed an additional office in Canterbury this month, being Ray White Barrington.
