Ray White Foundation Member Retires

After spending the last 29 years helping people conduct their real estate transactions, Ferg Nicholson (previous owner of Ray White Gore) has drawn to a close his active real estate career and made the shift to Cromwell.  Ferg Nicholson has been a foundation member of Ray White through the initial purchase of United Realty.  Ferg ran the business with partner Drewe Carran and as a  team they have worked together to maintain market leadership over many years.  Drewe Carran has taken over the sole ownership of Ray White Gore and will continue to lead the team to the next level throughout the marketplace in Gore.

Ferg Nicholson said in his retirement address that owning the office with Drewe and growing the business over the last 25 year period had been a wonderful experience.  “The business has continued to go from strength-to-strength and we believe that the dedication, values and service that have consistently been on offer during our co-ownership has led us to market leadership.”

Drewe Carran, who is now the sole owner of the business , said that working with Ferg over the last 20 years had been a great experience.  “Working together has allowed us to grow the business and I am delighted to be able to take the reins after Ferg’s retirement.”

Carey Smith, Chief Executive Ray White New Zealand, said that both Ferg and Drewe are a formidable ownership team.  “They have consistently held market share in excess of 40% and been a strong business in the local marketplace.  Ferg’s contribution to the Group has been unwavering and the succession of Drewe Carran to ownership is a natural progression that will continue to ensure the market leadership position of the business.”
