Record Results For Ray White New Zealand With December Sales Increasing by 28%

The Ray White New Zealand group results for December 2019 saw a 28% increase in sales value in comparison to 12 months ago and a 6% lift on November 2019. A month cut short by celebrations and Christmas holidays provided record-breaking results for the group. Overall the sales numbers resulted in 1,489 residential sales; a 21% increase on the same time last year, which gave a total released turnover of $1.017 billion.

The total number of controlled listings again decreased by 8% to 1,114. The difference between the sales numbers and the listing numbers shows a group portfolio decrease by over 330 properties. During the last quarter, in comparison to December 2019, the sales volume increase was 18%.

Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White New Zealand said, “The December results showed a continued increase in the majority of the markets. The month of December historically is one of the quieter months of the year; however, 2019 has proven otherwise with record-breaking results in a strong seller’s market to close out the decade.”

The result for our top business in December, Ray White Ponsonby, was a personal best at $63 million. Ray White Remuera completed $55 million in volume of sales; while Ray White Howick had another successful month with $37 million in settled transactions.

The results for December 2019 saw 11 offices complete a personal best in turnover. Along with Ray White Ponsonby; Ray White Pukekohe, Ray White Auckland West Commercial, Ray White Taumarunui, Ray White Hastings, Ray White Kilbirnie, Ray White Hutt City, Ray White Upper Hutt and in the South Island, Ray White Motueka, Ray White New Brighton and Ray White Strowan all achieved personal best results.

Throughout the regional areas of New Zealand. In Northland, Ray White Whangarei featured as the leading office. Ray White Warkworth and Ray White Kaitaia also had a successful month. In Auckland, outside of Ray White Ponsonby, Ray White Remuera and Ray White Howick; Ray White Epsom, Ray White City Apartments, Ray White Manukau and Ray White Mission Bay all had a strong sales month. In the Central North Island, Ray White Hamilton completed $18 million in sales with Ray White Rotorua, Ray White Papamoa and Ray White Tauranga all performing strongly. In the Lower North Island, Ray White Wellington City was the leading office. Ray White Hutt City together with Ray White Kemeys – Petone and Ray White Hastings all had outstanding sales. In the Upper South Island, Ray White Richmond completed $10 million in sales followed by a record month for Ray White Motueka. In Canterbury, Ray White Full Circle, Ray White Riccarton and Ray White New Brighton had a successful sales month with strong sales. In the Lower South Island, the leading business was Ray White Invercargill with both Ray White Wanaka and Ray White Queenstown having a successful month.

The top commercial office for Ray White New Zealand was the team from Ray White Commercial Tauranga with Ray White Auckland West Commercial achieving a personal best.

Ray White saw a continued increase in property management appointments in the month of December, with the company now having 17,988 properties under management.
