Ray White Canterbury get behind South Island Wine and Food Festival

Ray White offices in the Christchurch Zone have collectively undertaken an exciting three-year sponsorship opportunity with the South Island Wine and Food Festival (SIWFF).

The SIWFF is a yearly event held on the 1st Saturday in December, attracting over 12,000 wine tasters to Hagley Park. This is the first time Ray White has been involved, all Ray White offices are excited to have the brand presence at this event and the lead-up exposure throughout Christchurch. This included outdoor signage, radio adverts and bus backs, plus competitions through the SIWFF Facebook page.

2017’s SIWFF was a sellout, held on Saturday 2 December in glorious 30-degree heat! On the day the venue was fence wrapped with Ray White branding welcoming customers to the event, each attendee was given a Ray White branded glass to pop around the 40 different wine stalls from wineries from around the South Island to taste. The wineries were joined by a hand-picked selection of gourmet food produces and nine top local restaurants. Wine seminars and cooking displays hosted by industry experts were held throughout the day, with live entertainment from some of New Zealand’s leading musicians, including: The Black Seeds, Iva Lamkum, Latinaotearoa, Mel Parsons and Dillastrate.

Ray White’s long-standing charity partner Ronald McDonald House South Island together with the Ray White’s well-known Christmas campaign A little Ray of giving were brought together in providing the Ray White Re-charge Lounge which offered a re-charging station for smartphones and tablets, Ray White Water to rehydrate and the opportunity for people to donate and place a gift card on the Christmas tree for Ronald McDonald House South Island. The event raised $2,200.00 for Ronald McDonald House South Island, this enables them to provide a fabulous Christmas for the families staying at the house over the Christmas period.
