Ray White Albany have been busy again planting natives on the North Shore.
As part of the Kaipatiki Project, community planting days take place on the first Saturday of every month June – September at various reserves around the North Shore. The Kaipatiki Project, an independent non-profit, produces around 25,000 native plants each year, and with the help of over 800 volunteers get planted in reserves around the North Shore. With the aim of working to create a totally sustainable Auckland – connecting people to the environment, and each other, where they can take action to make a difference – the project had planted over 95,000 trees since 1998.
Ray White Albany were out in force at Unsworth Reserve with around 70 other volunteers. On the day, a massive 1,112 natives were planted, the beginnings of what will become a beautiful native forest.
The next community planting day will take place on the 1st of August once again at Unsworth Reserve, starting at 10 am.
Check out the Kaipatiki Project website for more information on different ways to get involved in the initiative, or ask your local Ray White North Shore office about how to get involved.
