The Ray White New Zealand group results for October 2019 saw an increase in sales value in comparison to 12 months ago. Sales numbers show an increase, as well as the median sales price, increasing over the last quarter by .75% to approximately $682,427. Overall the sales numbers resulted in 1,375 residential property sales, which gave a total net released turnover of $907 million. The total number of controlled listings secured decreased by 13% to 1,406. The difference between the sales numbers and the listing numbers shows that the group portfolio increased by 2% during the past quarter. In comparison to October 2018 sales, the volume increase for sales value was 7%.
Carey Smith, Chief Executive of Ray White New Zealand, said “The October results showed a continual increase through the Auckland and Wellington regions. This was matched by continuing high volumes throughout the main regional areas. The first home buyer and investor market continue to gain momentum, with a further decrease in the OCR to 1%, which has allowed better affordability and assisted investors and first home buyers coming into the market.”
The top three businesses were Ray White Remuera who completed a sales month of $72 million; Ray White Ponsonby who completed $44.8 million in volume of sales for October; and Ray White Manukau who also completed a highly successful trading month closing at $31.2 million in settled transactions.
The results for October 2019 saw four offices complete their personal best turnover from across the country, being Ray White Bishopdale, Ray White Metro Central Christchurch, Ray White Strowan, and Ray White Commercial Auckland.
Throughout the regional areas of New Zealand. In Northland, Ray White Whangarei featured as the leading office. Ray White Kaitaia had an outstanding month, as did Ray White Snells Beach. In the Auckland region, the top three businesses were Ray White Remuera, Ray White Ponsonby and Ray White Manukau. The Central North Island featured an outstanding sales month from Ray White Rotorua together with Ray White Hamilton. In the Lower North Island, Ray White Kemey Brothers – Petone was the leading business, followed by another strong sales month by Ray White Masterton and Ray White Hutt City. In Wellington, the city office completed another strong month at $27.9 million in sales turnover. The Upper South Island featured Ray White Richmond who completed $18 million, followed by an above-average month for Ray White Motueka and Ray White Nelson. In the Canterbury region, Ray White Metro Central achieved a personal best result; followed by Ray White Rolleston and Ray White Full Circle. The Lower South Island featured a strong sales month from Ray White Wanaka at $16.4 million. Ray White Invercargill and Ray White Queenstown again had successful months.
The top commercial office for Ray White New Zealand was the team from Ray White Auckland Commercial who achieved a personal best month.
This month Ray White completed the highly successful Rent Event which saw over 3,600 landlords attend the annual education evening held across offices throughout New Zealand.
