Ray White North Shore’s Collective Auction Event held last week was a resounding success.
Over 20 properties for the Ray White North Shore Offices were auctioned in a special Collective Auction Night at Takapuna Boating Club on Thursday 30 October. The event was marketed across the North Shore by our Ray White offices – who also offered vendors excellent marketing packages and upgrades thanks to the support of PropertyPress and Realestate.co.nz. Ray White Auctioneer, Tim Obern was joined by special guest auctioneer, Carey Smith – CEO of Ray White New Zealand, who presented and auctioned the properties with Tim to a venue jam-packed with eager bidders.
“The North Shore Action Night was a great success” said Sarah Pearce, Growth and Relationship Executive for Ray White New Zealand. “…Not only for our vendors with excellent sales results yielded in a short timeframe, but also for our members who have shown a great strength in working together – demonstrating to us all the power of an effective team. It’s inspiring to see that a single idea, effective marketing, hard work, determination and team support can achieve great outcomes for all.”
Auctions are generally regarded as an efficient, effective and transparent sales method and are widely used across New Zealand. Ray White has a long history in the real estate auction market – having pioneered in-room auctions, and presently being acknowledged as conducting more auctions than any other real estate company in Australia.
“In New Zealand auctions account for around one in five of all property sales with Auckland figures well above this average” says Carey Smith. “It is rewarding to see our members working together to strengthen their auction programs for the best results for their sellers.”
The Ray White North Shore offices, consisting of Albany, Beach Haven, Birkenhead, Browns Bay, Forrest Hill, Glenfield, Northcote, Pinehill and new office in Sunnynook were all in attendance and well represented with properties from across Auckland’s North Shore on show. Ray White have run similar Auction nights across the country with great success – recently in Wanganui with an upcoming Collective Auction Night also planned for Christchurch.
“Marketing without a price takes the price objection out of the selling equation and forces the buyer to judge the property on its merits rather than on the vendor’s price” says Auctioneer, Tim Obern. “It also gives our clients the opportunity to achieve the absolute maximum, which may be above their expectations, and most definitely ensures our clients do not under-sell their property.”
