New Christchurch listing attracts six offers in first three days

In a sign the property market in Christchurch was thriving, a new listing for the team at Ray White Full Circle attracted six offers in the first three days of being on the market, and went under contract soon after thanks to strong competition.

Salespeople Sid Charoenpornsavat and Deepak Gangar (above) said the speed of turnaround for 30 Cornwall Street (below) in St Albans, Christchurch City, proved just how strong the market was.

“Sid drove past and saw the private seller sign up so we contacted the vendor and we had a meeting with him on Tuesday 09 June,” Mr Gangar said.

“The property went live on the Thursday, and before the sun had even set, we had one offer already placed on the property.

“Fast forward to Sunday and we had received six offers in just three days, and even now after it has gone under contract, we’re still getting interest.

“The seller was really surprised with the strength of enquiry and offers and they told us they weren’t expecting so much interest so quickly.

“All it took was a Ray White signboard and the internet listing. The market is strong, and our buyer pool is so deep, that now is the ideal time to sell.”
