My husband and I recently purchased a rental property in Bayview, and Maggie was our purchasing agent. The process was not as easy as we anticipated because we encountered a very difficult party in Auckland representing the vendor who had already gone overseas. Communication in that situation is not as smooth and direct. There were a number of technical and legal issues that had to be ironed out, and on top of that the selling agent was not helping Maggie and ourselves and so negotiation almost broke down and we were thinking of pulling out. However, with Maggie’s help and patience, we finally made a breakthrough and successfully purchased the property that we liked after 12 months of hunting, From beginning to end, Maggie upheld her good temperament, understanding and patience. What impressed us most is unlike other estate agents, she never “pushed” the deal through. Instead she focused on understanding our concerns and doubts and did her very best, including consulting her boss, on ways to help us address the issues one by one. We have dealt with several estate agents in both Wellington and Auckland before and find her really the best we have come across so far.
