Liz was a great agent, hardworking, straight up, canny and knowledgeable. We chose her because she had a good balance of ‘personable’ and ‘no-nonsense’. So many agents gush too much and when we’ve been purchasers we find that very off-putting. We very much appreciated her efforts on our behalf to achieve a satisfactory sale in a tough market. Liz also went the extra mile when needed, for example fitting in a last minute viewing on an already busy day, travelling across to secure the property with a padlock when we’d accidentally taken the lock with us, and checking on the lawns between our visits. We really appreciated that extra support not living onsite, thanks again Liz! To get a perfect 10 would have meant altering the vendor report format to make it more readable (the agency’s fault rather than hers, I know these are standardised but they get more confusing the longer the property is on the market) and perhaps Liz hiding her frustration a little better at times. She was constantly reminding us how hard she was working, how many hours she put in, how little time off she took even on public holidays etc., presumably because she was feeling defensive about a lack of offers over many weeks despite getting lots of enquiries, even though we never criticised her for that (tough market, as above) or suggested she wasn’t working hard enough. Expending effort for no result is presumably just part of the job sometimes, tough on her and on us as the client, but so it goes. This would be the only quibble, overall we were very satisfied and would be very happy to recommend her to other vendors.
