December off to a flyer for Ray White Remuera and Ponsonby

December auctions got off to a real flyer for powerhouse offices Ray White Remuera and Ponsonby this week as both hammered home multiple outstanding results for their vendors.

The two offices sold more than $31,000,000 worth of property under the hammer between them in a single day as the seller’s market remained in full swing across Auckland.

Ray White New Zealand Lead Auctioneer John Bowring (above), who called 10 under the hammer sales for Remuera on Wednesday, said the race to Christmas was driving more competition.

“The market shows no sign of slowing down as multiple registered buyers battled it out for the chance to secure their property unconditionally before the end of the year,” Mr Bowring said.

“Instead of tailing off, the competition and bidding are actually intensifying, and it’s making for the perfect environment to be selling your property in, even this close to Christmas.”

There was a great story as Ray White Remuera Salesperson John Lantz successfully managed the $1,400,000 sale of 2/19 Waiatarua Road (above) – the fourth time he had sold the property.

“This is actually the 54th property I’ve sold on the same road – I’ve stuck to the one certain area ever since I started out in real estate back in 2004,” Mr Lantz said.

“This street just happens to be one of them where there are a good number of homes that often change hands. Usually, people stay in the area, so I’m either upsizing or downsizing them into another one in the same area.”

Ray White New Zealand COO and Auctioneer Daniel Coulson (above), who successfully called eight under the hammer sales for Ponsonby on Wednesday, lauded the results for vendors.

“To be achieving such outstanding sales this close to Christmas is a testament to the team and their desire to get the best result possible no matter what time of year,” Mr Coulson said.

Arguably the stand-out sale came courtesy of Ray White Ponsonby Salespeople Angela Saunders, Marty Hall, and Heather Lanting – as they sold 34 Picton Street (above) in Freemans Bay for $4,510,000.
