Changing of the Guard in Selwyn

It is the end of an era for A J McPherson & Associates Ltd and Ray White Hornby.

In 2008 Linda Rogers, Tony Mcpherson and Sarah Booth joined forces and opened Ray White Rolleston. This was a bold move for the trio, following the global financial crisis of 2007 – 2008, when more real estate offices were closing than opening throughout the country.

The foundations of this office were built on excitement and energy. The then small team consisted of Sarah Booth, Rookie Salesperson Brendan Shefford “Big Red” plus another salesperson relatively new to the industry Sarah Webster. From there, they began to dominate the rapidly growing area and its surrounding suburbs.

The structure of the company changed when ‘Big Red’ took over Linda’s shares and Tony began to detach himself. With this also came Emma Langton-George, who managed the rebrand of the company to where they are today – Town & Country Lifestyle.

The 2010/2011 earthquakes saw a major shift of living away from the city to surrounding suburbs, in particular, Selwyn. This helped to further cement the businesses place in an otherwise unstable time for Real Estate in Canterbury.

Town & Country Lifestyle now monopolise the market share in Selwyn, with additional offices in Lincoln and West Melton.
