For the past three years at the South Island Wine & Food Festival in Hagley Park, Christchurch. Ray White has combined their annual Christmas campaign, A Little Ray of Giving with raising funds for Ronald McDonald House South Island (RMHSI).
This year the Ray White Canterbury offices raised funds towards helping furnish the living area in the new family room in Christchurch Hospital for RMHSI. Over 20 volunteers collected funds throughout the day, keeping people refreshed with water, sunscreen and phone charging in the Ray White Re-Charge Lounge.
Jane Meyer, Ray White South Island Business Performance Manager, champions RMHSI and encourages franchisees to get behind this wonderful charity.
“We love giving back to our local community, and what better way than to support Ronald McDonald House South Island! Our involvement with the House connects us to the wider community and gives our salespeople a sense of pride at being able to help a very important Home,” says Jane.
A family-owned business, Jane says the values of Ronald McDonald House align well with Ray White’s strong family culture. “Knowing that we have helped families at a very difficult time is humbling. We sell homes to create memories but we love being able to support a home environment for people at a time of greatest need.”
Mandy Kennedy CEO for Ronald McDonald House South Island warmly thanks the whole team at Ray White for their continuous support and efforts.
$3606.80 was raised from the generous people at South Island Wine & Food Festival, plus a number of donations have been dropped in yesterday, bringing the grand total to $3806.80!
A large cheque was presented to RMHSI by the Ray White Canterbury business owners today. The House is looking forward to putting these funds toward the furniture for the new living area at Christchurch Hospital.
