There have been a number of projects which Rotary has undertaken; in more recent times to support all local Year 13 students throughout West Auckland who they put through a Rotary Youth Driving Academy in March 2013.
The Prime Minister spoke about the work of Rotary and the commitment to the community, particularly in the area of youth, throughout West Auckland. The Prime Minister also made specific reference to Tom Hendriks about his auctioneering skills and how he would be useful in being available to assist the Government in the sale of the Meridian shares. On a more serious note, the Prime Minister spoke about youth throughout New Zealand and dealing with their issues that they face and how the Government is committed to supporting the future through various youth programmes and the endorsement of the projects that are undertaken by volunteer groups such as the Rotary Club of Henderson.
