In 1997 Ray White New Zealand Chief Executive, Carey Smith, introduced the CEO Cup which is awarded each year to a member who has made a significant contribution to Ray White New Zealand and allowed the company to make definitive progress in line with the values that are shared by the members.
Throughout the last 15 years’ the CEO Cup winners have joined together on an annual basis and the group has now grown to be significant and today they joined together at the French Cafe in Symonds Street. Last year’s winner was the Canterbury zone and they were represented today by zone chairperson Brendan Shefford. Each year we talk about the previous year’s winner and this year it centred on the rebuild and confidence that our Canterbury members have and the success that they have achieved in repositioning their business over the last two year period.
Chairman of the Ray White Group, Brian White, also joined Carey Smith in hosting this year’s lunch. Brian made comment about the success of the New Zealand Group and how that each of the CEO Cup recipients has made our group a better environment for our members to succeed in. He said that “Each of the CEO Cup recipients has defined the journey of our New Zealand group towards leadership.”
Carey Smith said during his speech that the Group is well positioned and this is largely due to the success of the leaders that are represented at the CEO Cup Lunch. He went on to say that the Group’s market share has grown continuously over the last 20 years to be at its highest level ever and also during that period the company has experienced exponential growth which is matched by the success of each of the business owners and members in the Group.
