The Ray White Group last week was proud to present CEO of Ronald McDonald House Wayne Howlett with a cheque for $10,000 which represented the Ray White Group members inaugural Trade Me Auction on behalf of Ronald McDonald House in Auckland.
Ronald McDonald House is a free service for families with children who have been admitted to Starship Hospital for specialist paediatric care. The objective of Ronald McDonald House is to alleviate the practical, emotional and financial burdens of families who need to travel to Auckland from throughout New Zealand with critically ill or disabled children. Ronald McDonald House provides a home away from home for over 10,000 New Zealanders each year. The House opened in 1994 as a 10 room house but has increased over time to now have two houses in the Auckland region.
CEO of Ronald McDonald House Auckland, Wayne Howlett, said that he welcomed the support of business partners such as Ray White. “It is the generous support of many donors which continues to allow Ronald McDonald House to provide a difference for families and allow them to have a home away from home.”
Ray White New Zealand Chief Executive Carey Smith said that Ronald McDonald House is one of the most valuable homes in New Zealand. “We are proudly associated with Ronald McDonald House. We understand the value of homes and Ronald McDonald House is a true home away from home.”
The Ray White Group members came together for the inaugural auction which was supported by Trade Me and many of our own suppliers, partners, business owners and members.
The cheque was presented to Wayne Howlett, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Auckland, by Carey Smith, CEO of Ray White New Zealand, at the recent Ronald McDonald House Supper Club event held at the Hilton Hotel in Auckland.
