Ray White Russell raises over $22,000 for women’s cancer cause

Ray White Russell Director Dianne Wynyard (below right) and her daughter Glenda Wynyard (below left) have successfully raised $22,664 for women’s cancer research.

Since its inception in 1998, the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research (in Western Australia) has made significant discoveries into the diseases that plague families, in particular heart disease, diabetes and cancer.

With over 200 researchers, scientists and doctors housed in two state-of-the-art research facilities, the Perkins Institute creates a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Dianne Wynyard said out of the 770 walkers in the Hawaiian Walk for Women’s Cancer, she finished fourth and her daughter sixth on the fundraising ladder.

“Thanks to the support of the residents of Russell, and Glenda, we were able to raise more than $22,000 for this incredibly important cause,” she said.

“Incredibly, Ray White also hosted a ‘blazing’ sausage sizzle at the finish line, and this raised $1,025 on its own.

“I was the oldest person to complete the walk and I would like to say a big thank you to my daughter, the Ray White corporate team, and the media for their exposure.

“The whole experience has been incredible and the support from Ray White New Zealand CEO Carey Smith has been amazing. Hopefully I have helped along the way.”
