New Plymouth shines with 100% auction clearance rate

Ray White New Plymouth has taken the region by storm as a hat-trick of auction campaigns finished with all three properties being sold for a combined value of more than NZ$1,000,000.

“Auckland usually takes the limelight for auction success, but that’s not the case here, as New Plymouth blossomed heading into spring,” said Ray White New Zealand Auctioneer Ben East.

“The demand for property, no matter where you are in the country, is absolutely incredible and it seems nothing can hold back a market that’s extraordinarily vibrant right now.

“There’s no doubt we’re in a seller’s market with virtually all of our auctions attracting multiple buyers, and that’s really driving strong competition for properties.

“Auctions are achieving some outstanding results and anyone that’s thinking about coming to the market should look at these sales as a real indicator of the strength of the market.”

The under the hammer sale came courtesy of Ray White New Plymouth Principal Jane Simonson and Manager Carey Simonson as they sold 24 Tahurangi Place in Spotswood for NZ$280,000.

It was then the turn of the four-bedroom, two-bathroom property at 177 Coronation Avenue in Welbourn, which sold for NZ$625,000 following post-auction negotiations.

The hat-trick was completed well before though, as 9E Wilton Street in Westown sold the day before its scheduled auction.
