For the second year running, Ray White Canterbury get behind South Island Wine and Food Festival

Ray White offices in the Christchurch Zone were proud sponsors of the 2018 South Island Wine and Food Festival (SIWFF) for the second year running.

The South Island’s favourite wine and food event is a yearly event held on the 1st Saturday of December, attracting over 12,000 wine enthusiasts to Hagley Park, Christchurch for an afternoon of wine tastings, live music, street food and wine seminars.

The Ray White offices were excited to have a strong brand presence at the event again, backed with lead-up exposure throughout Christchurch including outdoor signage, radio adverts and bus backs.

The venue was fence wrapped with Ray White branding welcoming everybody to the event and a spot of rainy weather ensured everyone came by the Ray White Re-charge lounge to get a bit of much-needed cover on the day! The wineries were joined by a hand-picked selection of gourmet food produces and amazing local restaurants. Wine seminars and cooking displays hosted by industry experts were held throughout the day, with live entertainment from some of New Zealand’s leading musicians, including Dave Dobbyn, Julia Deans, Estere, Louis Baker and Moses Robbins.

Ray White’s charity partner Ronald McDonald House South Island (RMHSI) together with the Ray White’s well-known Christmas campaign A little Ray of giving were brought together in providing the Ray White Re-charge Lounge, which offered a re-charging station for smartphones and tablets, Ray White Water to rehydrate and the opportunity for people to donate and place a gift card on the Christmas tree for Ronald McDonald House South Island.

The event raised $3,524 for RMHSI. This is $1,300 more than last year and the Ray White Christchurch network was absolutely thrilled with the donations raised. This will help RMHSI to provide a fabulous Christmas for the families staying at the house over the Christmas period.

Brendan Shefford (Zone Chair for Canterbury), Jane Meyer (South Island Business Performance Manager) and Tony McPherson (Ray White Metro) from Ray White proudly presented Mandy Kennedy (CEO RMHSI) and Zucchi Leonard (RMHSI Director of House Operations) a cheque of $3,524 to Ronald McDonald House South Island.

For those who are unable to donate gifts but would still like to support Ronald McDonald House, there is also a text-to-donate option. This will automatically donate $3 by simply texting GIVING to 4483 and is live until January 31st.
