The Auction Focus Session is a new monthly initiative that has been introduced and facilitated to the Ray White Group in Canterbury this week by Jane Meyer, South Island Business Performance Manager.
50 agents attended the first Auction Focus Session, held at Russley Golf Course Function Centre. This is the venue where the Ray White Group in Canterbury will be hosting their auctions twice a month. This month’s Auction Focus Session was centered around: Skill Set Segmentation, Why Should We Auction?, In Rooms vs On Site and concluded with a review of Canterbury’s previous auction month and a general discussion.
Jane’s motivation for the monthly sessions is to grow everyone’s skills collectively in using the auction method of sale. Jane believes that ‘auctions are now an accepted method of sale for a majority of our vendors coming to the market’.
Jane is no stranger to the auction method, having been heavily involved in an auction culture in her previous role. Utilizing the vast auction experience of herself, as well as Craig Prier and Owen Patterson, they would like to share their knowledge to help educate the Group in Canterbury about the auction method of sale.
The next Auction Focus Session is being held on Monday, 5 September and will be covering the Vendor Journey and Price Discovery through asking the right questions.
