When Steve and Leanne Morgan from Ray White Lincoln were asked to auction a show home built by Christchurch builders Generation Homes, it was agreed that the auction would serve also as a community event for locals.
Steve added, “we wanted to do something for the community and make it a real family occasion”. Within no time, a plan was hatched and balloons, face painter, candy floss, sausage sizzle and a prize draw – for a holiday to Hamner Springs – were organised. “We couldn’t have asked for a better day. The weather was perfect and, although we didn’t manage to sell the property itself on the day, families attending had a wonderful time and it was so nice to meet and make new friends,” says Leanne Morgan.
Ray White New Zealand South Island Group Facilitator, Dave Price said, “this is yet another example of a Ray White office and its people doing their bit within the community they represent. The sense of community in the Canterbury region is strong and it is of no surprise that Steve and Leanne are adding to theirs by contributing in this way. I commend them for their efforts”.
