Ray White Metro recently took the time out to cook dinner for the families staying at Ronald McDonald House South Island.

Located just a few minutes walk from Christchurch hospital, the house provides accommodation and support to families of children receiving care at Christchurch Hospital.

The house aims to offer these families a home away from home while their child receives care, so they can focus on what is important, getting their child healthy again. With four houses across the country in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, they look after thousands of families every year.

10 members of the Ray White Metro team were involved in the night, cooking spaghetti and meatballs, salad, garlic bread, and a date and butterscotch self saucing pudding for dessert.

Afterwards the team couldn’t get over how much they enjoyed the evening saying they can’t wait to do it again. “One of the young boys we cooked for said it was the best meal all week which we were pretty chuffed about!”

Ray White Metro business owner Tony McPherson said “Taking time out from their busy lives to support such a worthy activity is credit to the team and their community spirit”
