The Ray White Allens, Whangarei, Bream Bay and Tutukaka Teams were out in force last weekend at their annual Ray White Allens Kids’ Triathlon.
The Ray White Allens Kids Triathlon is an annual event held on the foreshore of Whangarei harbour, and this is the 13th year that Ray White Allens have been a primary sponsor of this event. Open to kids aged between 7 and 15, from all economic demographs and levels of fitness, the triathlon is about getting out there and having a go – in a positive family friendly environment designed to encourage active participation in young Northlanders. This years event was held on Sunday 23 March, and annually the event, held in March each year, attracts close to 600 participants, plus thousands of supporters.
Two local sports enthusiasts, passionate about kids in sport (especially triathlon), approached the Goode Leith Realty Ltd Company Directors with their idea many years ago and it was the start of a strong working relationship. The company were delighted to come on board as sponsors from the outset, and now work in partnership with Sport Northland who manage the event. When asked about their involvement with the triathlon John Monteith, Director of Ray White Allens, commented that “we felt this matched our ideals and values and were keen to be involved … This year is our 13th year as the major sponsor, and we hope the event continues for many more years to come. Over the years we have had scorching sun, wind, torrential downpours, but more often than not a perfect day – the kids and their supporters flock to Beach Road in Onerahi and create a wonderful family atmosphere that helps create an absolutely brilliant day for all concerned.”
Vanessa McKenzie, also a Director at Ray White Allens, adds: “at Ray White Whangarei we feel proud to be part of an event where we get to participate in supporting kids being the very best they can be. It is very uplifting and a total energy rush for those of us involved… The Ray White brand receives excellent brand exposure, reach and recognition, and as a family orientated company we are delighted to be playing a positive part in empowering the children of today to become the fulfilled, confident and successful adults of tomorrow.”
